# NonWoven365 > NonWoven365 is the brand of Phoenix Non Woven GmbH & Co. KG, a German manufacturer of advanced wet-laid nonwoven materials based in Lenningen, Germany. The company engineers high-performance fiber papers and nonwovens — including conductive carbon fiber media, aerogel insulation, surface heating elements, silica nonwovens for high-frequency electronics, and aluminium-coated EMI shielding — for energy, industry, aerospace, defence and mobility markets. Phoenix Non Woven was founded in 2020 as a spin-off of the 150-year-old Scheufelen paper mill, combining decades of specialty-paper expertise with materials science from DITF (German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research). The company is ISO 9001 certified, holds a granted patent on its nonwoven electrode component, and received a €258,567 R&D grant for antiviral air filtration research. In July 2025, Sandler AG acquired a 24.9% stake while Phoenix remains an independent, creatively free operating company. Core technology is **wet-laid nonwoven manufacturing** — a process related to papermaking in which staple fibers (up to 20 mm) or flock are suspended in water, deposited on screens, and bonded into highly homogeneous mats. This delivers fiber distribution uniformity that dry-laid processes cannot match, supports recycled fibers, runs in a closed-loop water system, and can be combined with PVD, CVD or PECVD coating. The process handles carbon, glass, ceramic, metal, polyester and aramid fibers. ## Products - [carbon365 — Conductive Carbon Fiber Papers & Nonwovens](https://nonwoven365.com/carbon365/): 2–10 Ohm/sq sheet resistance, 10–150 gsm, extremely homogeneous fiber distribution.
